Package: fvwm Version: 1:2.6.8-1 Severity: minor With FvwmButtons, I use an action of the form:
Action (Mouse 1) Exec "Mutt" xmutt where xmutt starts gnome-terminal with "-t Mutt" (initial title) and a command. The command immediately changes the window title. The problem is that the button sometimes remains pressed, probably due to the fact that the window title is changed immediately by the command. So I suspect some race condition in fvwm. As a workaround, I've now changed "Mutt" to "Mutt*" since the new title still starts with "Mutt", but this problem should be avoided for more complex cases. -- System Information: Debian Release: buster/sid APT prefers unstable-debug APT policy: (500, 'unstable-debug'), (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.19.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=POSIX, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=POSIX (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages fvwm depends on: ii libc6 2.28-4 ii libcairo2 1.14.10-1 ii libfontconfig1 2.12.6-0.1 ii libfreetype6 2.6.3-3.2 ii libfribidi0 1.0.5-3 ii libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 2.38.0+dfsg-7 ii libglib2.0-0 2.58.1-2 ii libice6 2:1.0.9-2 ii libperl4-corelibs-perl 0.004-1 ii libpng16-16 1.6.36-2 ii libreadline7 7.0-5 ii librplay3 3.3.2-16+b2 ii librsvg2-2 2.40.20-3 ii libsm6 2:1.2.2-1+b3 ii libstroke0 0.5.1-9 ii libtinfo6 6.1+20181013-1 ii libx11-6 2:1.6.7-1 ii libxcursor1 1:1.1.15-2 ii libxext6 2:1.3.3-1+b2 ii libxft2 2.3.2-2 ii libxinerama1 2:1.1.4-1 ii libxpm4 1:3.5.12-1 ii libxrender1 1:0.9.10-1 ii perl 5.28.1-3 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.11.dfsg-1 Versions of packages fvwm recommends: ii lxmenu-data 0.1.5-2 ii python3 3.7.1-3 ii python3-xdg 0.25-4 Versions of packages fvwm suggests: ii cpp 4:8.2.0-2 ii libx11-protocol-perl 0.56-7 ii m4 1.4.18-2 pn perl-tk <none> pn stalonetray <none> -- no debconf information
