The fix for this kindly posted by Marcel above no longer works (0.10.1-1),
presumably because the API has shifted yet again. However this does work in
Debian Testing (0.11.0-1 in bullseye).
Since we're less that half way through buster's life cycle, would it be
possible to backport the
Agreed. My work around was to follow the instructions for creating
"simple backports" (https://wiki.debian.org/SimpleBackportCreation) to
make a backport of xfce4-weather-plugin/testing for my Buster machines.
The "proper" solution would be to get 0.10.1 into stable-updates.

The xfce4-weather-plugin started issuing "HTTP 404, cause: Not Found" error
messages in ~/.xsession-errors because the current API is outdated.
Please consider upgrading to the new stable release that solves this problem:
