Package: deepin-picker Version: 1.6.4-1 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
When I unselect "Enable software compositing window manager" in "Window preferences" when using the MATE desktop, or unselect "Enable display compositing" in "Window Manager Tweaks" when using the LXQt desktop with xfwm4, deepin-picker cannot be used. When I start deepin-picker in terminal, the executable returns with exit code 0 and does not give any warning or other message. If I enable the compositing in MATE & LXQt, or swith to GNOME, deepin-picker works: it displays a magnifying glass and a color can be selected. I think there should be a warning if the program can't work due to a WM configuration option. Otherwise the user or administrator has no idea of what went wrong. I was led to the window compositing and effects settings by a bug report: https://github.com/linuxdeepin/deepin-picker/issues/2 and I started looking at deepin-picker due to a recent Ubuntu bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/deepin-picker/+bug/1828314 Regards, Juhani Numminen -- System Information: Debian Release: buster/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.19.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=fi_FI.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fi_FI.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=fi_FI.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages deepin-picker depends on: ii dde-qt5integration 0.3.7.2-1 ii libc6 2.28-10 ii libdtkcore2 2.0.9.17-1 ii libdtkwidget2 2.0.9.17-1 ii libgcc1 1:8.3.0-6 ii libqt5core5a 5.11.3+dfsg1-1 ii libqt5dbus5 5.11.3+dfsg1-1 ii libqt5gui5 5.11.3+dfsg1-1 ii libqt5widgets5 5.11.3+dfsg1-1 ii libstdc++6 8.3.0-6 ii libx11-6 2:1.6.7-1 ii libxtst6 2:1.2.3-1 deepin-picker recommends no packages. deepin-picker suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
