Package: pciutils Version: 1:3.5.2-1 Severity: wishlist Very frequently, people ask for help with their devices (video, network, etc.) and someone asks them to show the output of lspci. Which they eventually do. But it would be *so* much more helpful if they would show the output of "lspci -nn" instead. Unfortunately, educating the entire helper community to ask for lspci -nn instead of plain lspci is an extremely slow process.
It would be great if -nn were the default. People requesting help could get that help much more quickly and with less wasted effort, if we didn't have to go through an extra round of asking for information. -- System Information: Debian Release: 10.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.19.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages pciutils depends on: ii libc6 2.28-10 ii libkmod2 26-1 ii libpci3 1:3.5.2-1 pciutils recommends no packages.
