I missed the actual receive line in the 1.2.5-7 apologies. It alone DOES Not fix it though. There is breakage in libwrap to accompany it. Once the fix in 1.2.5-7 is in, rpcbind starts receiving (according to strace) messages which is followed by interrogating addresses and interfaces by
