This still happens:
tglase@tglase-nb:~ $ virsh -c qemu:///system start Netboot
error: Failed to start domain Netboot
error: Unable to read from '/sys/fs/cgroup/unified/machine/cgroup.controllers':

Searching the web led to a suggestion this is from libvirt not realizing
its on a systemd machine and trying to use non-systemd cgroups. (It
should be machine.slice under systemd).
Hi,
I’ve had to downgrade in the meantime, since #935734 at least
has a workaround.
FWIW, the GNU Guix people have the same problem, and with a
different path, others:
https://www.redhat.com/archives/libvir-list/2019-July/msg01310.html
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1751120
I have
Package: libvirt-daemon
Version: 5.6.0-2
Severity: serious
Justification: unusable, no working workaround
tglase@tglase:~ $ alias wirrsh
