I used this workaround:
- install package numlockx
apt-get install numlockx
- create file /etc/xdg/autostart (in autostart user directory):
[Desktop Entry]
Version=1.0
Name=Disabilita Num Lock
Exec=numlockx off
Terminal=false
Type=Application
Categories=
GenericName=
OnlyShowIn=KDE;

I have the same problem, but reverse.
No matter what setting I have in Input Devices, it will not turn
I don't know if it is related, but the "Key State" plugin in the sys
tray no longer display the status of the caps, shift, control keys
etc.
