Package: backuppc Version: 3.3.2-3 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
libfile-rsyncp-perl has been removed from Testing for "missing sources" in https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=945242. However, this breaks the rsync backup method on backuppc, which is the recommended one for linux. The error in backuppc is "2020-03-18 22:00:02 dump failed: File::RsyncP module doesn't exist". Manually installing File::RsyncP via cpan -i File::RsyncP fixes the issue. -- System Information: Debian Release: bullseye/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 5.4.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages backuppc depends on: ii adduser 3.118 ii apache2 [httpd] 2.4.41-4 ii apache2-utils 2.4.41-4 ii bzip2 1.0.8-2 ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.73 ii iputils-ping 3:20190709-3 ii libarchive-zip-perl 1.68-1 ii libc6 2.29-10 ii libcgi-pm-perl 4.46-1 pn libdigest-md5-perl <none> ii libsocket6-perl 0.29-1+b2 ii libtime-parsedate-perl 2015.103-3 ii libwww-perl 6.43-1 ii lsb-base 11.1.0 ii perl [libio-compress-perl] 5.30.0-9 ii ssmtp [mail-transport-agent] 2.64-8.1+b1 ii ucf 3.0038+nmu1 Versions of packages backuppc recommends: pn libfile-rsyncp-perl <none> ii libio-dirent-perl 0.05-1+b8 ii openssh-client [ssh-client] 1:8.2p1-4 ii rrdtool 1.7.2-3+b2 ii rsync 3.1.3-8 ii samba-common-bin 2:4.11.5+dfsg-1 ii smbclient 2:4.11.5+dfsg-1 Versions of packages backuppc suggests: pn certbot | acme-tiny | acmetool | dehydrated | lacme | lecm | l <none> ii links [www-browser] 2.20.2-1+b1 pn par2 <none> ii w3m [www-browser] 0.5.3-37+b1 -- Configuration Files: /etc/backuppc/apache.conf changed [not included] /etc/backuppc/hosts changed [not included] /etc/backuppc/localhost.pl [Errno 13] Keine Berechtigung: '/etc/backuppc/localhost.pl' -- debconf information excluded
