Hello You say "It is expected to use UCX as the transport layer under openmpi and mpich". It is actually optional, OpenMPI works fine without UCX on non-Mellanox networks. Worse, UCX says it supports some networks such as OPA while its actual performance is very bad, people have to uninstall UCX
