Package: packagekit Version: 1.1.12-5 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
I'm actually not sure if this is a packagekit, policykit, or gnome-shell bug; the symptoms are: I unlock my screen for a logged-in user (which is as admin user), and immediately get prompted for my sudo/admin password for a process that needs admin access. I have to click 'cancel' at least 5 times and sometimes it goes away, sometimes I cannot get rid of it at all until I reboot my system. The logs show the following: *** Operator of unix-session: 2 FAILED to authenticate to gain authorization for action org.freedesktop.packagekit.system-sources-refresh for system-bus- name::1.337 [/user/bin/gnome-software --gapplication-service] (owned by unix- user:daniel) -- System Information: Debian Release: 10.4 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.19.0-9-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages packagekit depends on: ii libappstream4 0.12.5-1 ii libapt-inst2.0 1.8.2.1 ii libapt-pkg5.0 1.8.2.1 ii libc6 2.28-10 ii libgcc1 1:8.3.0-6 ii libglib2.0-0 2.58.3-2+deb10u2 ii libglib2.0-bin 2.58.3-2+deb10u2 ii libgstreamer1.0-0 1.14.4-1 ii libpackagekit-glib2-18 1.1.12-5 ii libpolkit-gobject-1-0 0.105-25 ii libsqlite3-0 3.27.2-3 ii libstdc++6 8.3.0-6 ii libsystemd0 241-7~deb10u4 ii policykit-1 0.105-25 Versions of packages packagekit recommends: ii packagekit-tools 1.1.12-5 Versions of packages packagekit suggests: ii appstream 0.12.5-1 -- no debconf information
