Package: pulseaudio

Version: 13.0-5

After a recent upgrade from stable (Buster) to testing (Bullseye) I lost sound
from my front panel microphone. Pulseaudio detects the microphone, but there is
no sound coming from it. Changing the volume settings had no effect. Hardware
follows:

ASUS Prime B-350-Plus motherboard with Realtek ALC 887-VD2 audio chip

I also did a clean install of bullseye on an old Dell laptop. Sound from the
onboard microphone was badly distorted, but sound from an external microphone
(mic jack) was fine.

Lastly, there is no sound during game play on an old game requiring OpenAL (via
osspd).

None of the above problems exist with Buster or with Ubuntu 18.04, but the same
problems exist on Ubuntu 20.04

Bullseye installations were done as a simple upgrade from Buster, as a
full-upgrade from Buster, and as a clean install. All Ubuntu installations were
clean installs. Kernels on all systems were stock as were all installed
applications. No backported programs were installed.
