Hi Heinz,
Good question, as I've gone back to 450.80 for the moment and that's
working perfectly for me. I've checked through the logs for when I was
running 455, and it seems I had the same package versions as you, with
the exception of:
* libcuda1and
* libnvidia-ptxjitcompiler1
* nvidia-detect
In reply to Dave:
Hmm, I have exactly the same card as you, my lspci says also:
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GP108 [GeForce GT 1030]
(rev a1)
so this is not the culprit. Did you install all nvidia packages from
experimental (=455), or do you still have rests from 450?

Hello,
just to add to Rob's remarks:
I have 455.23.04-1 from experimental installed since my last post,
everything is stable, and clinfo and glxinfo report fully working OpenCL
and GLX setups. Only thing I miss is a working nvidia-settings, as
450.66-1 is not working with those experimental p
Thanks a lot for this swift action.

This package builds correctly for both kernel 5.8.0-3 and 5.9.0-1.
It is fine with kernel 5.9.0-1.
But I cannot get a working display start after booting kernel 5.8.0-3
using this graphics driver.
