Package: qemu-system-gui Version: 1:5.2+dfsg-11+deb11u1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
when running with ssh -X forwarding, qemu now randomly hangs within the first few seconds. Sometimes the screen is empty with blinking cursor, sometimes there is a partial or full SEABIOS message, sometimes it gets to the grub welcome message, but without fail, it hangs within the first few seconds of startup. the buster version works absolutely reliably with x forwarding. I have seen this both with my own hosts, as well as with the hetzner buster/bullseye rescue systems, so its unlikely to be my system configuration. Aimple way to reproduce this for me is: kvm -snapshot -hda /dev/sda -m 4096 Which normally is a simple way to see if my system is gonna boot. -- System Information: Debian Release: 11.1 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (990, 'stable-updates'), (990, 'stable-security'), (990, 'stable'), (500, 'unstable-debug'), (500, 'testing-debug'), (500, 'stable-debug'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'oldstable'), (1, 'experimental-debug'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386, x32 Kernel: Linux 5.10.0-9-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU threads) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_PROPRIETARY_MODULE, TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=en_IE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_IE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages qemu-system-gui depends on: ii libc6 2.31-13+deb11u2 ii libcairo2 1.16.0-5 ii libepoxy0 1.5.5-1 ii libgdk-pixbuf-2.0-0 2.42.2+dfsg-1 ii libglib2.0-0 2.66.8-1 ii libgtk-3-0 3.24.24-4 ii libpixman-1-0 0.40.0-1 ii libpulse0 14.2-2 ii libvte-2.91-0 0.62.3-1 ii libx11-6 2:1.7.2-1 ii qemu-system-arm 1:5.2+dfsg-11+deb11u1 ii qemu-system-mips 1:5.2+dfsg-11+deb11u1 ii qemu-system-misc [qemu-system-s390x] 1:5.2+dfsg-11+deb11u1 ii qemu-system-ppc 1:5.2+dfsg-11+deb11u1 ii qemu-system-sparc 1:5.2+dfsg-11+deb11u1 ii qemu-system-x86 1:5.2+dfsg-11+deb11u1 qemu-system-gui recommends no packages. qemu-system-gui suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
