I got the transaction_metrics.rb error during the upgrade of ./play.it
forge, but not the gitlab-sidekiq one. I suspect they are unrelated,
and it might be worth opening a dedicated issue for the
gitlab-sidekiq/sudo error to make it easier to find by other people.

Unfortunately, now gitlab-sidekiq fails to start since it is
apparently trying to run a command with `sudo`:
I noticed that it's the `ExecStartPre=` that fails. Maybe the behaviour
of `bundle` has changed recently? Running
sudo -u git bundle install --local
in /usr/share/gitlab fails
> Remove this initializer. I have added rm_conffile to remove this
automatically in debian/gitlab.maintscript but it seems to be not working.
Thanks for the prompt response, removing
/usr/share/gitlab/config/initializers/transaction_metrics.rb did the
trick. The installation finishes now.
