Thanks. I wonder how to handle this case. I've l

a database, hence it works like a database.
Hardcoding autosave_sync to 0 is IMHO no proper solution, hence
removing the patch tag. But implementing it as option seems to be a
nice feature even though there is eatmydata which kills all these sync
operations via LD_PRELOAD.

Package: needrestart,how-can-i-help
Version: needrestart/0.5-1, how-can-i-help/5
needrestart uses a fullscreen progress bar (which IMHO is totally
overkill, but seemingly can't be turned off) which basically moves
everything how-can-i-help outputs off the terminal's view port
independent of the te
sts". I'm sorry for the mixup.
But this also means I've no idea to which commit Yann refers to.
In the end, svn 1.7 completion is still open, with two reports:

Thanks for the report, I'll have a look at it.

(Not sure what of those two things would happen. "perldoc -f kill"
mentions that a signal of zero would send no signal, so if that string
is not defined as signal, I'd say it results in zero when being parsed
as integer.)

Dear Joey,
"man debhelper" says for compat level 9:
Executable debhelper config files are run and their output used as the

Nevertheless, this doesn't seem to count for dh_lintian and
debian/.lintian-overrides:

Hi,
IMHO the following lintian warnings should not be triggered if the
binary package in question belongs to the section "metapackages":
* empty-binary-package
* depends-on-packaging-dev
Not as obvious, but nevertheless often happenening for me

Ok, so this is rather an upstream build system issue and not caused by
how Debian builds the packages (as I understood it initially)?
