1. create the directory
2. adjust its permissions and ownership

so I see two ways out :
(1) change the b-dep to cython (from cython3) [and cython-dbg from

string switch ; unfortunately:
/usr/bin/ocaml: OCaml has been configured with -force-safe-string: -
unsafe-string is not available.
Can you please re-enable unsafe strings?
