After updating Linux kernel to latest from 3.x series, I have lost the TouchPad

Using Fn-F9 did reactivate it.
Sorry for the noise

Hi,
I understand the issue with libtiff5 not in debian yet. However
current programs using both geotiff and libgdal simply segfaults on
debian. Could the Makefiles be updated to use
-Wl,--version-script,version_script
Or any other mean to prevent this

Not an issue in gofigure2, but in vtk 5.6.1-6. The buildd machine
should be updated to allow multi-arch building of package against VTK
(needed vtk 5.6.1-6.1)

The code is in fairly wide production use, but for various
reasons we have had trouble making the transition to a
libtiff 4 final release. So my advice is go ahead an use

Hi,
KWWidgets suffers from the exact same issue as bug #506992, it uses the old
interface: EXPORT_LIBRARY_DEPENDENCIES() which is incompatible with the new
multi-arch build.
For example the /usr/lib/KWWidgets/KWWidgetsLibraryDepends.cmake
Typical error are:
make[3]: *** No rule to make target `/usr/lib/libGL.so', needed by
`VolViewPlatformComplete/bin/libKWWidgetsPro.so'. Stop.
Same goes for libnsl.so, libutil.so, libm.so ...

Patch from #638246 was integrated in vtk 5.6.1-6.1. We could
eventually merge both issue if paraview ever use system installed vtk.
