rinse never created entries in /etc/hosts. Currently I do not like to
add this part, since it would change rinse's behaviour. I guess all
users care themself about this entry. If there are more reasons to add

This bug is not that important. Building FAI 3.3 should be done in a testing
environment, not with a lenny chroot. Since version 8.3 asciidoc uses
w3m as default, which is already included in the build-dep, so this
should work.
I think this bug is more a bug of severity minor or normal.

My idea is to define a new action "nfsroot".
So, fai nfsroot would create the nfsroot. But since make-fai-nfsroot
has a lot of options, fai nfsroot should only do the base

Using NFS v4 for the nfsroot works if the NFS server is running
Debian squeeze. I've contacted the aufs author, and currently he's
debugging the problem in the aufs kernel module. So, this may not be a
problem of FAI but of aufs.

The problem is using . || true (because of set -e) which always

The dracut command itself does not care about the kernel image
/boot/vmlinuz. at all. It only needs the kernel version number and
the directory of the kernel modules. Therefore it does not care if a
kernel image is installed at all.
IMO it's fine that only the postinst script of dracut checks

I cannot confirm this bug. It works perfectly with FAI 3.4.8, which
uses the same code as 3.4.7 for the grub installation.
Please provide more information about the error message.

I cannot confirm this bug on a real machine. I did an upgrade from
squeeze to wheezy on a real machine (amd64) and didn't get his
error. I already had dracut 013-3 installed on squeeze before
upgrading to wheezy.
Can you please specify what excatly is not working? I cannot interpret

Here are the changes needed for Scientific Linux Cern 6 support.
Add those lines to /etc/rinse.rinse.conf:

Since I cannot see any feasible reason why setting those variables was
added in tcsh (the launchpad bug report didn't give any reasons), I
will remove this setting in the next version of the tcsh package. But
this may take some months before I will work again on it.
