thanks
According to
http://buildd.debian.org/fetch.php?&pkg=mpfr&ver=2.2.0.dfsg.1-3&arch=m68k&stamp=1133892937&file=log&as=raw
mpfr still fails to build from source on m68k. Which is odd, because I
remember the combination of gcc-3.4 and -O0 to result in a s

Package: mysql-query-browser
Version: 1.1.17-2
Severity: grave
Like mysql-admin, the mysql-query-browser package has an
(= ${Source-Version}) dependency on an Arch: all package (in this case,
mysql-query-browser-common), which breaks when the package is binNMUed -- as
has just been done for the c2

ide-generic was loaded before piix, making your ide bus a bit sluggish.
Put piix above ide-generic in the modules file, rebuild your initrd, and

Yes - that's why piix is mentioned in the title of this thread...
Sorry it wasn't clear to you and you had to play detective yourself to

Saw that already yesterday. Seems to be an issue with the
linux-image-2-6-14-2-686 (2.6.14-5).

I tested the patch posted by Loic.
Unfortunately it doesn't fix the cdbs build failures. I still get error
messages like this:
/usr/bin/install -c -m 644 './avrdude.1'
'/home/michael/debian/build-area/avrdude-5.0/debian/tmp//usr/share/man/man1/avrdude.1'
