I found a way to work around the segfault. Looks like the culprits were
/var/cache/apt/pkgcache.bin and /var/cache/apt/srcpkgcache.bin. For some
reason they have been corrupted. Just removing them avoids the segfault.
I attach the versions of those files that crached the apt tools.

It still won't build for me, make fails claiming there is no 'modules'
target. I am not at all experienced with Make/GCC, but Caio wrote
something about changing the 'modules' target to 'all' and the
'modules-install' to 'install' and that fixed the problem for him. It
still won't build for me.
