Hi,
I'm not quite sure I understand. The build did try to use g++-4.1, and
it failed. This was long ago determined to be a glibc or gcc problem,
not a qt-x11-free problem, so why was it reassigned to qt-x11-free?
Thanks,
Christopher Martin

Hi,
While I can appreciate the pain caused by moving a binary from

Hi,
Considering that :

I will be more than happy to see someone do a NMU with this trivial fix.

Coin,
Soya 0.12 will include this fix and should already have been
released. The author is fixing the remaining problems, so it is a bit
delayed. For the packaging part, 0.12rc1 was prepared as a test, so the
final 0.12 should not be a long work, and the 0.12 package should follow

The package kdebase-data was upgraded to 3.5.4-1. Depending on this a lot of

Using absolute paths can have horrid consequences as you've seen in #361929.
Now grub commands are "trapped" into violating FHS and being unable to move at
the same time.
Please find attached patch to switch to relative paths when invoking

As for #361929, I overlooked that kernel-package also happens to be the most
appropiate place for fixing the user scripts. Would you please also add
something like:
sed -i /etc/kernel-img.conf -e "s,\(.*\)/sbin/update-grub$,\1update-grub,g"
for linux-image-* postinsts ?

Hi Manoj,
Using absolute paths in /etc/kernel-img.conf *_hook variables can have horrid
consequences when things like this happen:
- the command (in /usr) turns out to be in FHS violation and must be moved to
/.
- the command (in /) turns ou
Hi,
you have an RC bug open on fonty since ages (#333460).
I've taken the time to write a patch that fixes the issue in
Jannuary.
You -- the maintainer of the package -- on the other hand didn't
even consider it necessary to comment the report or my patch.
I can live with it if you say you don't
Hi,
a version that fits the new driver (in testing, already!) is available. Please
upgrade the libsynaptics package.
It is strange that a release critical bug with such an easy solution is still
unfixed.

Btw, I hope this serves as a good example to everyone on how hardcoding absolute
paths is a BAD thing.

Hi!
I have to apologise, because all this fuss is my fault. I mistakenly
interpreted FHS and understood that GRUB should be in / rather than /usr
because it was essential for system boot. However, this is not the case since
all files used during boot live in /boot/grub.
