be that the experimental version of libpng is somehow
broken, you might want to clone that bug against this package in
this case. Updating the build dependency is probably the right thing

is superseded by vde2 that is the recommended version now. vd2 is
waiting on unstable for the new version of glibc but as this bug is
reported as a release-critical bug, vde2 will not reach testing until
this bug is closed
