Julien, if you don't want/have the time to package aMule properly,
just step down so someone can take over the task. I'm sorry to be so
rude about it, but you saying I don't want you teach me anithing. was
way beyond rude in an offer for help and mentoring.
I have no experience with debian
I completely agree with the original poster.
Anjuta2 should have never replaced anjuta, as they are 2 different
projects, with 2 different codebases, and anjuta2 is an alpha/beta
release, that LACKS BASIC FUNCTIONALITY.
The fact that you can't use previous projects alone is enough to render
it
You did obviously run aMule with sudo at some point, as aMule can't do
priviledge escalation to change your files to root ownership.
So this should be closed :)

Out of curiosity, why would out internal copy be bad? It even has some
crypto sources patched because of a bug that arises on 2.6.x series
kernels.
And why would this be critical?

I agree there, this is a bug for aMule package and maybe a request for
libcurl3 one. However, We're going to release aMule 2.0.0 final for sure
this weekend, making this bug dissapear on the new upstream version
update.

As a matter of fact, is not aMule which forces the OpenSSL linking:
it's the curl package. I would be great if curl had a non-ssl package to
avoid this issues in packages using that library.

Well, after some thinking, I decided to drop curl usage from aMule
completely. aMule 2.0.0 final, which should be out this weekend, will no
longer use libcurl, so that solves this issue completely. Thanks for the
input.
