After install, josm opened an window with menu and some links, and then froze. What jvm are you using to execute josm? I use gij 4:4.3.0-1 (latests available in unstable) Could you please try to run josm with either gij-4.1 or jamvm and post the result? On gij-4.1 it worked a bit,

I have the same problem. If I launch the command line manually (not using eclipse shell script), then eclipse starts properly: /usr/lib/jvm/java-gcj/bin/java -Djava.library.path=/usr/lib/jni - Dgnu.gcj.precompiled.db.path=/var/lib/gcj-4.2/classmap.db \ -
