Hi,
Same problem here. My strace also shows that opening /etc/nsswitch.conf was the
last before segfault. The package is completely useless. The only thing I can
still run is tripwire --help, but any tripwire -m operation fails.

The work of both of you is highly valuable to many people around here and it
would really be a pity if the package was removed from Debian. Even a late
package is better than no package. Please reconsider your decision, downgrade
the severity and keep doing the good job you already have done.
