pybuild doesn't remove them was quite easy
once I figured out how, and it helps with more RC bugs more quickly than
going around patching all the reverse-dependencies.

, I should warn you that GRUB Legacy is extremely very
unmaintained at this point; I've really just been doing last-resort
patching for years, and this normally hasn't included debugging its
filesystem code. It'd be in your interests to migrate to GRUB 2.
