OK. 2 things :
1° Downgrading does NOT solve the issue
2° The monitor seems to switch to sleep when you switch to another VT.
Otherwise it just keeps displaying a blank screen.

I just update the php5-cli package and the JSON extension (included into
PHP by default) seems missing:
