Hi,
I cannot reproduce the error with /bin/ip from iproute 20110315-1.
I tried
ip -4 addr del 192.168.101.18/255.255.255.0 dev eth0 label eth0:1
on the command line and it worked flawlessly.
What version of iproute do you have installed?
Best

Hi,
This bug seems to be fixed for recent packages of libnss-ldap.
So I think it can be closed or re-tagged 'woody' only.
