This is caused by a well-known bug in fuse 2.9.0 which is fixed in

- sudo aptitude install dh-autoreconf libselinux-dev build-essential
- Add testing repo to sources.list
- sudo aptitude update
- apt-get --build source -t testing fuse

Just installed Debian 5.0.2 via netinstall CD, chose German language and
Keyboard layout in graphical installer. Console is correct, but both gdm
and gnome had US keyboard layout set. Gnome was easy to change, but I
did not manage to do that for gdm.

It seems this is not a ghostscript, but cups problem.
Package cups should depend on ghostscript-cups, as that package now contains
the files in question.
Unfortunately, printing does not work after installing ghostscript-cups, though
- but that is another bug...
