Please try without gfxterm. Uncomment the `GRUB_TERMINAL=console' in /etc/default/grub and run update-grub. I've tried using the command line in grub. Whenever I type in a command, then press either enter or tab, it immediately shows out of range pointer 0xebc0. I'll try uncommenting
