Just to clarify, My local build of the new upstream version of psqlodbc is based on the existing debian packaging. The existing debian/patches/ patch has been integrated upstream mostly. The new patch just resyncs one function definition to match the unixodbc supplied declaration, and fixes a few missing macros with regards to the thread synchronization support that were broken upstream.
