I can actually reproduce this: mkdir /tmp/bindmount touch /tmp/bindmount/some_file cowbuilder --login --basepath /var/cache/pbuilder/base-lenny.cow --bindmounts /tmp/bindmount Then close the terminal (KDE konsole in my case) and the file /tmp/bindmount/some_file will be deleted I guess
