This bug was reported on https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mnemosyne/+bug/206958 If mnemosyne is started and python-xml is not installed (the dependency was dropped), mnemosyne fails with the error message: File "/var/lib/python-support/python2.5/mnemosyne/core/mnemosyne_core.py", line 1425, in <module> class XML_Importer(saxutils.DefaultHandler): AttributeError: 'module' object has no attribute 'DefaultHandler' This issue has been fixed in Ubuntu with the attached patch.
