Hi, I must mention that Japanese was also affected by this bug. Now that apt 0.7.14 has entered in lenny, this bug is resolved in lenny and can be closed. However, since Debian Installer lenny beta 2 ships the affected version of apt, I add this note to the bug report just for your information.
