Followup-For: Bug #493077
Package: gkrellmd
Version: 2.3.1-1
*** Please type your report below this line ***
The variant of the bug was exhibited when upgrading from
gkrellmd 2.3.1-1 to 2.3.1-6 and is present in 2.3.1-6 too.
The problem is that
/etc/init.d/gkrellmd stop
fails and causes the upgrade and purge of the package to fail.
The command that fails is /etc/init.d/gkrellmd stop (and therein the
call to start-stop-daemon)
According to Debian policy
http://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-opersys.html#s9.3.2
the scripts should not fail obscurely even if the package is removed.
Thus it would perhaps be good to add a --oknodo switch to the start-stop-daemon
line in the
/etc/init.d/gkrellmd stop
part of the script.
