Package: findutils Version: 4.4.0-2 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable
Upgrading from Etch to Lenny, findutils is somehow reported as successfully installed, but there are no updatedb and locate binaries. A debuild from sources locally doesn't change the status. A dirty hack is to build the package, then go into the source folder and "make install" -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-5-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages findutils depends on: ii libc6 2.7-13 GNU C Library: Shared libraries findutils recommends no packages.
