Thanks, but any idea why this needs to be so complicated? Shouldn't it just require updating the symlinks? Unfortunately diff.gz considers a change to a symlink to be an "unrepresentable change to source" so it is nessacery to undo the change to the symlink in the clean target. the .h.in
