I can fully confirm this bug.
This happened after upgrading from 3.5.4-5 to 3.5.4-6. The difference
between the two versions, as documented in the change log:
"Upstream has decided to remove pearxmlrpc and make the package depend
on php5-xmlrpc. Closes: #591984"
