Debdiff fixing this issue attached. Here's the patch added:
Description: Wrap import of GStreamer in a try/except.
The VideoPlayerGtk3 class does not actually seem to be used anywhere, so we
can safely not import GStreamer.

When I start Software-Center the main area of the program stays blank,
indicating that the list of packages is being loaded. The list of packages is
never shown.
