I think this is done since #596284 has been fixed.
At least I cannot reproduce this bug in wheezy with 0.33 or 0.32.
I am therefore closing this bug, with many thanks to the original
reporter and maintainer.

I get the same error as Lucas when trying to generate a wheezy image on
wheezy as a normal user:
