Hi Jack,
It sounds like something wrong in the compiler. Debian is now using
newer binutils and gcc than what the arduino project uses, so there
are some errors. I can confirm that it is segfaulting on the mega
board.

I don't know if it is something we're doing in Debian or if it is a
bigger problem. I forwarded it to:
