Package: util-linux
Version: 2.20.1-5.5
Followup-For: Bug #707996

Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?
        apt-get upgrade

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)?
tried to login in a different ssh session

   * What was the outcome of this action?
        login hung forever...

   * What outcome did you expect instead?
        be able to login

/etc/bash_completion.d/django_bash_completion relies on util-linux's whereis to
find python(s).
Upon login, if your shell is bash, this file will be sourced and 'whereis
python' will try to run.
Since 'whereis python' hangs forever, one can no longer login to the box.

I presume that whereis hangs because of this bug. Note that python-django
doesn't list util-linux as a dependency since the above file contains code to
check if whereis is actually installed.

Thanks,
Virgil
