I believe that to fix this there is still a need for a new upload of
python-pypdf (1) with an higher version number (an epoch?).
I'm cc-ing the maintainer of python-pypdf, since I'm not sure that
the BTS is knowing about the right addresses.
It would be nice if this upload added a DeprecationErr
