Hi, I am trying to install Debian testing in my laptop with no success. The installation reports the next message in the base system installation stage: "No installable kernel was found in ther defined APT sources."
I have no idea what the problem is. But, I can see the package which I need (I think) in here: https://packages.debian.org/testing/kernel/linux-image-3.16-2-686-pae *Debian testing versions tried with usb-flash-memory and CD:* - debian-testing-i386-netinst.iso: - Debian GNU/Linux testing "Jessie" - Official Snapshot i386 NETINST Binary-1 20141013-04:52 - debian-testing-i386-xfce-CD-1.iso - Debian GNU/Linux testing "Jessie" - Official Snapshot i386 xfce-CD Binary-1 20141006-05:53 - Debian GNU/Linux testing "Jessie" - Official Snapshot i386 xfce-CD Binary-1 20141013-04:53 *Laptop specifications:* Laptop model: Acer Aspire 3003WMLi HDD: Family: Hitachi Travelstar 80GN Device Model: IC25N060ATMR04-0 Serial Number: MRA301KEKMLB0P Firmware Version: M030AD4A User Capacity: 60.011.642.880bytes [60,0 GB] ATA Version: 6 ATA Standard: ATA/ATAPI-6 T13 1410D revision 3a Wifi controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4318 802.11g Wireless LAN Controller (rev 02) Monitor: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] 661/741/760 PCI/AGP VGA Display Adapter: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] 662/761Gx PCIE VGA Display Adapter Multimedia audio controller: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] SiS7012 AC'97 Sound Controller (rev a0) Any idea? *Note: Debian stable version is installed with no problems.* Thank you, Vochor
