This list should not be used to commercial e-mail.
As far as I am concerned this list is kept clean and the only purpose is
to inform people about debian changes.

Kind regard,

Herman

Is there no way to make this list only postable by debian maintainers,
or would that not make sense?

I have asked for this to happen over two years ago, in the bug report
#40760, but unfortunately the solution still isn't implemented.

It sounds easy enough -- make dinstall authenticate to smartlist with a
special header, and reject everything else, because everything else doesn't
belong to the list. (Alternatively, send to a moderator for approval.)

I thought this list is moderated, at least I read so when I subscribed
to it.
But it proves different.

Well... if that spamming goes on, i'll be forced to unsubscribe and stay
with the security list only which IS moderated, at least there was no
spam on that list yet.

Greetings,
Andreas
