Did you consider the fact that Matthias is still currently silent on debian-pyt...@ldo, even when important discussions are run? I don't see any indication that Matthias will become friendly and communicative when the team will be up and running. Most of my interactions ended with a wall of silence [1]. Most interactions are painful [2]. I don't really know how good is Matthias at maintaining packages on the technical side (but I suspect he is very good) but on the social side, he is unable to interact nicely with his users and fellow developers. Does anything indicate that there will be a change here? Will the social side be delegated to the rest of the team? My point is that it is unfair to rule out Josselin which is responsive and communicative in favor of Matthias without having any indication that Matthias' communication skills will improve (which would benefit the other packages that he maintains in the same mood).
