Andreas,
I don't have packages for recent CVS sources but I am working on it. I
am a bit behind because winbind is new in the current CVS tree for
what will become Samba 2.2.2 so I am making modifications to the
Debian packages to accomodate for new binary packages (for winbind and
friends.) Besid

I know a little about Samba but until yesterday I did not know
anything about xinetd. Now I think I do :-)
Bye for now.

works fine with xinetd; the problem is with nmbd. Can anyone
confirm this?
By the way, I thought Adam Heath was the maintainer of xinetd. Did
this change lately? Also, why xinetd is in non-free?
Bye for now.

Well, after removing the shlibs.local file and ignoring the warning my
package seems to have the right dependencies:
Depends: ipx, libc6, libcomerr2
Thanks for the help.

Probably they are grateful to us because they use Debian on their own

Nope, ulimit -c also outputs "unlimited". What about the output of "set

Thanks,

Hi,
an easy one: why when root runs a program that faults core is not
dumped but when a normal user runs the same program a core is dumped?
Test program:
void main(void)
{
* (char *) 0 = 0;
}
gcc -o test test.c
Run test as both root and a normal user and you'll see what I'm
saying.

Hi,
does anyone have a gcc_2.7.2.3-3.deb laying around? I am getting weird
errors compiling a huge C++ application (Hylaxfax) that I think a
caused by egcc (from the g++ package). I'd like to try g++ from gcc
just to be sure the problem is not something else but I deleted my old
gcc_2.7.2.3-3.deb
ee the packaging manual in Developer's Corner at www.debian.org for
the exact details but you need:
Package: raidtools
[...]
Replaces: mdutils
Conflicts: mdutils

Hi,
does anyone know where are all the packages that were in
Incoming/HELD-FOR-GUY? This directory is empty now but at least samba
(which I maintain) has not been integrated into hamm (and samba was in
HELD-FOR-GUY).
Thanks,
