YAZ is a C/C++ programmer's toolkit supporting the development of Z39.50v3/SRW clients and servers. Sample clients and servers are included with the distribution, as well as documentation. I've put prospective packages up at http://people.debian.org/~emschwar/yaz.html if anybody cares to take a look.
