First I'd try:
apt-get -f install
Then I'd try to resolve each problem separately. Eg:
apt-get install alsa-utils
apt-get install asclock
.
Also, have you tried a dist-upgrade?

It's an error with how the message is printed, it is showing the wrong
number for 'is to be installed' IIRC.
