Mark, I've had a third party Uplink Debian package available - http://www.sacredchao.net/software/dists/unstable/main/binary-i386/games/uplink_2_i386.deb. The package itself is just an installer, but it can install the demo, or off the Uplink CD, and patch an installed copy. I emailed Chris Delay
